Neither of my dogs likes baths so they don’t stay still, I get wet, the water from the hose continues to run while I’m shampooing them which is waste, and my back hurts from bending down and wrangling then the whole time for two dogs. So I decided to buy a stand up tub. The raised tub and harness were the selling points for me. I bought a large and that was a good size for us. My dogs are 45 and 50 lb medium dogs (Aussie Shepherd and small Malinois). I believe the sizes listed by the manufacturer are accurate. The tub could easily be used by larger dogs I just like the extra room. Setting it up was fairly easy. The hardest time I had was snapping the top rim of the tub to the bottom portion. It fits in a groove and you insert the ridged tabs into slots. Some of them were easy to get in, others were quite difficult. I finally used the end of rubber mallet handle to give me the leverage to get them in that worked well though. Everything else was very quick and easy to set up. I love the harness for keeping the dogs in place. The rubber mat is great. I wan’t sure if the shampoo cup was going to fit my oval bottle of shampoo and next to the bottle of conditioner (I thought maybe it was just designed for two round bottles) but they both fit just fine. I didn’t wind up using the sprayer since I bought a separate sprayer but I did clip it onto the side of the tub and it seems like that would be really convenient. With the legs tapering outward it makes it really stable. I was comfortable stepping back at the end to allow them to shake the water out of their fur a couple times before taking them down. It’s large so you do need a good place to store it when it’s not in use. Just make sure you get everything snapped in tight and you are good to go! We have a 70# Australian Shepherd that jumps in and out of it just for fun lol.. it has always held up strong. Large enough that my dog was able to get up the steps easily, securely clipped in, and was able to turn around fully to step out. The grooving at the bottom of the tub prevented slipping and sliding. The base is solid and sturdy. It is a little bulky and requires a larger storage area in the garage but I would rather have that than a foldable, less stable footing.
