I feel much better about this beater. It only scrapes one side at a time as it rotates around the bowl. This is a preferable motion to the cheap beater that scape on each side. By only scraping the rubber on one side at a time it puts significantly less pressure on both the rubber part on the beater as well as the mixer’s motor. This paddle attachment with a scraper is unlike any other on the market, because it actually works! No more dry ingredients left underneath the dough because the blade is in direct contact with the bottom of the bowl. The notch at the bottom allow the blades to scrape as individuals. The snug fit against the walls of the bowl prevents the sugar and butter from climbing up the side of the bowl when creaming. Attaching the blade was a bit stiff because of the snug fit. It is made of heavy duty metal with pliable silicone scraper blades not flimsy plastic.
