I'm not always the quickest to get trash out of my koi pond but I do use filters effectively and this pump, in spite of having muddy water now and then, has been run in relatively clean water. Recently the impeller shaft broke and I think it was largely my fault when I pulled it out of the water while running. In all likelihood I will try to contact the seller and get replacement parts for it.
