Unless you are an excellent knife sharpener, I would strongly recommend the pretty inexpensive sharper. It sharpens at the exact angle needed and worked on my other knives. For years I have sharpened all my knives on a Arkansas wet stone but this Mac sharpener does perfect each time and very quickly too! **Q: Does the mac professional sharpen well with a trizor xv? does it change the architecture of the 15 degree angle? results?** A: yes is very good **Q: Does this knife have a wooden handle and a regular blade not hollow? trying to make sure i am getting the correct knife.** A: No, this knife does not have a wooden handle and the blade has dimples, (it is a hollow blade). But it is a great knife, i definetly recomend it!
