Review: Worked good for me. - I normally pay the money and buy top brand tools but I knew this would be limited use for me. I was very happy with the quality and versatility for the money. I was actually surprised how rigid the beam was when extended. The written instructions explain how to read the scale with the various options which wasn't clear to me at first. I have never used one these before but needed it to check my Camaro subframe. It was worth it for the piece of mind versus bending a tape around things. The only real complaint I have is that the swivel end doesn't have a detent for 90 degrees. Because of the plastic mount you would have to cut a relief in a square to really set it. We used a torpedo level against the end when it was on the frame to check it. If you don't Gorilla it I think you'll be fine.

I normally pay the money and buy top brand tools but I knew this would be limited use for me. I was very happy with the quality and versatility for the money. I was actually surprised how rigid the beam was when extended. The written instructions explain how to read the scale with the various options which wasn't clear to me at first. I have never used one these before but needed it to check my Camaro subframe. It was worth it for the piece of mind versus bending a tape around things.
