Both my husband and I took turns carrying it on our vacation. **Q: Is the outside of the backpack water resistant? It's a great buy. **Q: Can someone that owns this pack provide us with approximatre dimensions?** A: It's about 18 inches in length and 12 inches wide. Approximately 6 inches deep. For the price man it is really the best out there I'm extremely happy with it. Plenty of room inside it. **Q: How big does the waist strap get? What size waist do you thinke it will expand to?** A: This strap does not help in reducing the weight of the backpack.
