My arms are bigger than legs. XL size for arms and legs slightly large for me, almost perfect over clothes. Certainly workable with velcro straps. I could use a large without clothes underneath. I cant imagine better fit, comfort or protection in more breathable fabric without rigid plastic...worth the price, always worth the protection. No doubt they do truly "save." So here is my opinion, Fit is perfect and super comfortable. Some people have said that the sizing isn’t true, just learn how to measure things and you will get the right size, adding a inch to your size doesn’t always help you. Product and packaging are nice quality and they come with a mesh bag which is nice for keeping them together and helping them air out and get that stanky sweat off that has been beholding up all day.
