Review: Perhaps the BEST Keyboard Ever Created! - Disclaimer: Ive used the Steel Series 6Gv2 (Cherry MX Black), as well as the Razer Black widow (Cherry MX Brown). For purposes of this review i am focusing on the performance, feel and build quality. (Spoiler: ITS FANTASTIC) Of all the keyboards i have used and typed on, this is by far the greatest thing my fingers have ever had the pleasure of experiencing besides *censored for family-friendly purposes*. Let me just say that if you enjoy linear switches, but are nervous about the sensitivity of the Cherry-Silver switches found on this board then fear not, for that was also my fear. The problem i had with cherry black was that sometimes i would press a key quickly just to find that i did not press hard enough and i would actually miss key presses that way. I got the black widow for the brown switches thinking that the tactile bump would help me know when the key was actuated. While it helped i could not help but feel that the tactile bump somehow slowed me down or got in the way of that smooth gliding typing feel. ENTER THE MX CHERRY SILVER. While i have never tried reds, i have heard that they are some of the most preferred switches for gaming. Having tried these silver switches i can now see why. (Reds are similar to silver switches, but with a deeper actuation point of 2.0mm compared to the Silver's 1.2mm actuation travel. The Reds total travel distance is also deeper at 4.0mm, Silver's total key travel is 3.4mm deep) When i go for a key, there is no worry about the key not actuating for the key effortlessly gives into the force of my finger. The switches are not so sensitive where the weight of my finger alone actuates them. It is just PERFECT. It truly is a hard thing to describe. For gaming i cannot imagine a better switch or board. And typists fear not for if you are sure footed in your typing skills then know that the linear switch is not your enemy when it comes to the Silver MX switches. I actually look forward to using this Keyboard every day. That is literally how much i enjoy this board. This is the first review i've wrote on desertcart in years. That is literally how much i enjoy typing on this board. I almost dont want to even stop typing now lol. The funny thing is i was going to get the k70 with cherry mx browns, but decided on the LIMITED EDITION WHITE VERSION because it includes the DOUBLE SHOT KEYCAPS. which was a big deal for me. I wanted the most durable keyboard i could get and i saw how on the regular k70 some people complained about breaking keycaps. (YOU CAN BUY THE DOUBLE SHOT KEYCAPS SEPARATELY FOR $50). I thought it was well worth the risk with desertcarts generous return policy to try this one out. PLUS THAT WHITE KEYBOARD IS SEXY LOOKING AF. I typed this whole review out on the board and only made 1-2 typos. rgb lighting is self explanatory. its gorgeous. everything about this board is gorgeous. BOTTOM LINE OR TLDR: Avid typist or Gamer you will not regret splurging on this board. It is the best purchase i have ever made for a PC peripheral and it works well on MAC as well. The included wrist rest is also really nice. though it is rigid is has a soft touch texture and has eliminated elbow and wrist discomfort that i would normally get on my glass desk surface. ps. DID I MENTION HOW MUCH I LOVE THE VOLUME WHEEL? EVEN WORKS ON THE MAC! Edit(11/3/2021) This keyboard is still rocking without a single issue yet! I hope they continue producing it. It seems the newer designs are straying away from what worked so well on this edition. Many of these companies are attempting to produce their own gamer switches rather than rely on MX Cherry. MX Cherry has the best reputation for switch quality though for obvious reasons so keep that in mind when researching your next keyboard.
Review: Fantastic Keyboard for New Mechanical Keyboard User! - Wow! The difference between this and my K55 is night and day. Great parts about this keyboard: - Worked with my Lord of the Rings keycaps from Drop.com. I'm a full keyboard guy, but Drop doesn't sell any. To be fair, Corsair owns Drop.com, but it was nice that the caps fit and looked nice. - I also like the media keys, which seem to be a premium feature for keyboards. - Way less effort needed to press keys down. Makes typing less painful for folks with carpal tunnel and other repetitive strain injuries. - Really hits the sweet spot for price-to-features. Not so great parts: - Backplate scratches pretty easily. Make sure you have a key grabber before attempting to do anything with the caps. - Buttons can sometimes be pressed with just the smallest brush. If you are a clunk-clunk typer like me, you might need to retrain yourself on how to type with better precision. Things you should know: - RGB is great. I have been using SignalRGB and this worked right out of the box. But if you don't like RGB, it has an off button. - Comes with a USB-C to A (male) cord. It is a nice-braided cord, but I expect you could get a longer one if needed. - If you have never used a mechanical keyboard, it takes some getting used to. I totally recommend going to your local computer store and trying out some keyboards before buying anything, especially noting what kind of switches are on them. Some have massive differences in press effort, sound, responsiveness, etc. I really like the Cherry Silver, but everyone has their own preferences.

**Q: Does the k70 low profile keyboard support macos (media keyes), and is there equivalent led config software on mac?**
A: If you mean, can you re-assign macros to multi-media keys, the answer is yes you can. You can assign any key individually to do what you want, the same with colors through the iCUE software. I use a PC but I took the liberty to check Corsairs website and couldn't find anything, so I googled and came across this thread from Corsair that mentions a BETA version. **Q: I never bought a white keyboard before, but does the keycaps get dirty quickly compared to black keycaps ? I never eat on the keyboard though.**
A: I only used plastic white keyboards (I have the black one from the K70.2), but honestly they don't get dirty at all. Only the bottom of caps can have this disgusting residue from sweat - if you sweat a lot. But you can just use some glass cleaner and a tissue, and clean it from time to time every few months... it's no big deal.

I mean I clean my keyboard way more often than that...

**Q: What is the best for a typist?**
A: Definitely blue! I'm a typist also and I find this keyboard delightful. However, as with any keyboard, there are strange things that happen to cause typos: for some reason, I accidentally make double spaces with this. But even though I said that, I don't want to discourage anyone, because I'm finding out there is no perfect keyboard, and everyone has different hands (my tablet attachment keyboard makes me miss the D key for some reason *shrugs*). So far, this board, with the blue switches, is my favorite I've used!

**Q: Can i get key dampeners for this?**
A: I don't see a need for "o" rings, I have the cherry mx speed, and they are quite silent.  I only hear the keys as they "bottom out".  If you need total silence, this isn't the keyboard for you, but if you need quick actuation with minimal sound, I highly recommend this keyboard.  
This keyboard has the looks, and the speed for gaming, if you don't game, just go with a high-quality membrane keyboard

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best keyboard ever, fr fr

So, this is my fourth Corsair in a row. I am in love with this brand of keyboards and I will never buy another unless something epic changes my perspective on the brand, I have found a forever brand in Corsair. My dad uses Razer so I am familiar with those as well, but I prefer the layout of the corsair keys and the tactile feedback is nicer imo. As for this particular keyboard, it is the best Corsair I've ever had. First of all they brought back the volume wheel, THANK YOU, missed that on the last one. And the lightshow is spectacular. Human beings are drawn to things that mimic water. I have a nice rain pattern over the color shift for my profile and it does vaguely remind the eye of sparkling water in my peripheral vision as I type. And that brings me to the typing. I am a very fast typer. I haven't done a little program to tell you the WPM lol but just in casual typing online with friends people are always amazed at how fast I can get out a story lol. One of the main reasons is the Corsair keys. They have the fastest actuation and you can type so smoothly on these. Honestly so used to the Corsairs now I really get slowed down on other keyboards and find myself making so many mistakes. That's one of the drawbacks I suppose to a Corsair, you will get addicted to these keys. You won't ever want to type on anything else lol. Even my dad's nice Razer is a junk keyboard compared to this imo. I am just so used to this layout, my fingers fly to their destinations so fast and other keyboards do have a slightly different layout or key height. These Corsairs are a game-changer man, bet. Js. If you are on the fence, don't be. If you already own a Corsair, get this one! So pretty in the white. Almost gives a pastel hue to the colors which I loveeeeee but some ppl may not prefer. And looking forward to the longevity of the double shot keys. Just idk 11/10 would recommend. Best keyboard ever. ♥
