Each candle has a nice wooden lid that gives it a higher end look and would make a very nice gift. The scents in this box are definitely very masculine and I would probably inly use in a bathroom rather than in a living area or bedroom. The box is sturdy and each candle fits very nicely into a padded slot the exact size of the candle. The packaging makes this very gift-worthy. I was impressed when I opened up the box. The candles themselves have a pleasant scent but I was a bit underwhelmed with the scent throw. I work from home and burn candles quite often during the day. The scent throw on a woodwick candle is considerably more than these candles. The scent throw is more comparable to a mid-range candle and not as good as a "luxury" candle. That being said, I wasn't unhappy with the smell. So far the candles seem to last a while. I burned one candle for 5 hours or so and only burned a bit of wax off the top.
