This works fine with one tweak. if you try and tighten this around the railing on your pulpit it most likely WILL rotate or flow over when running at high throttle. What worked for me? I walked around the marina and found an old piece of rubber gasket and wrapped it around the pulpit rail between that and the pole attachment. Have had NO issues. CAREFUL!! Don't drop your screws over the side when installing. Have had mine boat out in 15-20 knot winds at high throttle and she doesn't budge. Sure, it can be made better but all other other pole ratings were horrible.
