I set it to take 2 pics & a 10 second video for each episode. I set everything for a "mid" resolution as a starting point. Daylight pics / video is outstanding !! Night pics & video are understandably black & white but still very good quality. So far my one negative is that the micro SDcard is a PITA to remove without a tweezers. I like to swap cards when I check on it & I had to remove the camera from the tree I strapped it to to extract the card.All in all, this is a great camera for the price point & above. I have the "brand name" cameras & I see almost no difference in picture quality & functions.
