You simply pull the bike out of the box, align the handlebars, and insert them into the stem. The brake levers and cables are already installed and adjusted. Then drop in the seat stem. Screw on the pedals, attach the fenders and reflectors, and it's done. The frame is lighter than a BMX bike. The rear wheel has an enclosed disc brake which stops faster. The chain guard is more compact than most to reduce the chance of breaking. The rear fender is mounted to the seat stem so it simply pushes aside rather than breaking if it is accidentally kicked. The kickstand is an unusual design which keeps it out of the way on the back axle. It has a spring lock to keep it engaged until intentionally raised. At least the two I bought do, I bought two bikes at different times and they both have coaster brakes as well as a handbrake for the front wheel. Both bikes are the smallest size, I think 12", so maybe the larger versions don't.
