First, let me describe the easier of the two scenarios, and the one you can achieve straight out of the box.FIRST SCENARIO (Easy)The first scenario is for the soundbars that have similar mounting holes to TVs. If your soundbar has these, then you are going to be done in a few minutes. Just choose the bolts that easily turn in your mounting holes, and you're ready to go. One word of caution, if your TV is already mounted, you'll want to mount these arms between the TV and the wall mount before you mount these brackets to the soundbar. It's far easier to do it this way, unless you take the entire TV down. Which you probably should, but I was a little lazy for this. 3 bolts on the TV will hold it. Just do one bracket at time, remembering to tighten the bolts just enough that you can still adjust the soundbar bracket.SECOND SCENARIO (EASY BUT SOME DIY MAY BE REQUIRED)If you have the soundbars that were meant to be mounted to bolts sunk into the wall, then this bracket will be a little harder for you to use. These kinds of sound bars have what looks like a keyhole for mounting. You theoretically sink the bolts into the wall, and then hang the soundbar "keyholes" on to the bolts. If your soundbar is like mine, I had to go to the store and get some short bolts whose heads would fit through the large part of the keyhole, but not pull through the smaller part. I, unfortunately, was unable to find this. My solution was a very small washer to increase the area to pull from. Given the small difference between the large part and small part of the keyhole, the parts were harder to find than I would have thought. Once I had all the parts and threaded the bolt and washer through the keyhole, the rest of the installation went as expected. One more suggestion: It was far easier to mount the bracket to the soundbar in this scenario and then to the TV, opposite from what I suggested in Scenario 1. I also took the TV down for the mount to do this.FINAL THOUGHTSThis is a great way to get a soundbar attached to your TV. If you have a swiveling mount, then this a perfect solution to keep the sound pointed where the TV is. For me it has worked in two different scenarios, and I think it can rightly call itself universal. You just might have to do a little extra tinkering to get everything to work the way you want. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Not perfect but good enough *by A***L on Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2014* If my TV wasn't mounted to the wall this bracket wouldn't have worked for me. The screw holes on my sound bar and the VESA mounts on my TV are positioned so that this bracket just won't align no matter how much I fiddle with it. Fortunately the TV is mounted to the wall and this bracket easily attached to unused holes in the wall mount, thanks to the big bag of bolts and washers that was included. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars More speakers *by C***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2013* Already had my screen on a stand and was wanting to add a soundbar but there was no shelf for it and mounting on the wall wouldn't look right with the screen already on a stand. Used these to mount the soundbar directly to the screen. Mounts to the same screens for the screen mount and you have the option of mounting above or below the set.
