Finally had pushed the entire 65 foot span. The pipe could have dragged the line but my plan was for it to come out at the other end which was easily accessible. I tied on a 140 ft nylon rope to a convenient 2x4 and the other end to the pipe. And pulled the whole pipe back out pulling the rope with it. I tied off the rope at my end. The rope was double the length of the span. It is now a permanent installation. So I can pull the slack of the rope to either end. Attach a wire and pull the slack back. Over the years I have pulled about 10 wires with that rope. It's starting to tangle with the 10 wires so it's time to pull the rope out and use my pipes to run it again. The nylon rope I used could pull 3 wire romex if needed but I have mostly pulled phone and ethernet cables.
