It cleans well and by using the dusting pads, it doesn’t scratch. I got the dusting pads specifically for my wood floors. I don’t recommend using steam all the time, because it’s wood, however, once in a while isn’t going to do any damage. The steam dries quickly and puts just enough moisture to do a deep cleaning on the wood.
