Bpa free?** A: I know the outside is a hard plastic and the inside is metal. **Q: Will this fit the ksm3311xbm model?** A: Not sure. You'll have to look on your kitchen aid or the ice cream attachment. **Q: I have an older model. Works well!! Well, it makes great ice cream if you have a great recipe. If I had to find something wrong with it, I would say it needs a lot of room in the freezer to get ready to make ice cream. I usually keep it in the freezer of my garage fridge. When I have not had a lot of freezer space, I have also removed my ice bin to make space for it. The only other thing I don't like is that it doesn't make much ice cream. If I wanted to make ice cream for the family, I would buy something else. Our family loves homemade ice cream, but I would have to start a couple of days in advance if I wanted to make enough for the kids and grandkids. As it is, I was aware of these things before I bought it.
