Oticmed gets a star just for making these latex free. But, compared to latex foam plugs, these don't feel as nice, squish down as well, or stay compressed as long. It's hard to get them in your ear canal because they want to spring back to shape. With some very firm squishing and very fast placement, after a few attempts, I managed to get a few mm of the product in each canal. I had to hold them in place as they expanded. They wanted to creep/pop out but once they expanded they stayed put. I was careful not to turn on my side because I felt pretty sure they would fall out if touched.It sounds icky, but I think they will perform better after the absorb some ear wax. That should keep them from expanding as quickly.I like that they come with a little holder. These are an obstrucion hazard for small dogs. Dogs generally love earwax and eating earplugs is like a treat to them. To keep your pet safe, use the plastic holder that come with these, and keep that in a drawer away from dogs and cats. ### ⭐⭐ Hard and dense and uncomfortable.
