very poor quality. fairly small ulu. cheap handles. not ergonomic.if you are handy, you can fix the shortcoming.I don't recommend this as a gift because of the above and the cheap box & packaging

The first of several ULU knives I've bought.The handle needed a few swipes with some fine sandpaper or scotch pad along the edges, at least on my sample.The blade is sharp, it has a nice balance. I expect many years use from this.
