I bought to use as a decorative centerpiece for the dining room table. It looks amazing paired with crystal baluster candlestick holders and adds major elegance and drama to the space.I also think this would look lovely in a guest bathroom, coffee table, dresser or nightstand. In the future, I want to use it with some glass apothecary jars.The edges have an antiqued silver finish. It appears very unique and well made. The weight is substantial. It's definitely an "attention grabber."It coordinates with the 2 smaller "Felicia Trays" by Kate and Laurel, as you can see in one of my pics.Note: The tray I received has some minor defects (Eg: Glue showing, tiny inperfections/dents/scratches in the mirror). I own several items by Kate and Laurel and all have been great (including the 2 smaller trays that match), so i believe this to be an isolated incident (and I didn't reflect these factors in my review). They were super cool about exchanging it for a replacement.
