These are small maybe 8 inches across. **Q: Holes per inch and holes per square inch are not the same thing. I'm interested, but need to know which is correct.** A: This is holes per inch in each direction. It is the size of the hole measured as a square dimension but it includes the wire thickness. It is only close to or generally accurate. 10 mesh means there are likely 100 holes in one square inch and the hole size is 1/10" minus the wire thickness North to South or East to West if viewed while sitting flat to the earth. Also, a needle shaped object will pass the mesh if it approaches it lined up correctly. A 10 mesh screen will have close to 0.13" corner to opposite corner. **Q: What are the sizes of the spaces?** A: The sizes are 10,20,30,40,50,60 mesh screens **Q: What is the weight capacity of this if I wanted to put a big piece of mineral like conglomerate on it?** A: They look strong enough it depend on the size of the sample but I am not sure you would want to use these in the field.
