This is such a masculine, beautifully designed bag. It's red inside the main zippered compartment and also in the outer side pocket, which runs the length of the bag. The handles are a soft suede that feels like it could stretch if the bag were packed with heavy items but I bet it will last forever. The zipper to the main compartment isn't the most robust zipper I've seen but I trust it will last, too. I travel a fair amount and often by car. I'm out of town this weekend in fact. The bag is perfect for weekend trips. Plenty of room for several pairs of jeans, t-shirts, toiletries and an extra pair of shoes. It is not big enough to also fit my laptop and accessories but I assumed that when I ordered it. I have a small leather computer briefcase for that.
