These strings are over twice the price of the standard ones, however, thye can withstand my abuse, not just for a gig, but for a couple of months, without tarnishing or breaking. The superior strength really pays when playing an electro acoustic, I had a habit of regularly snapping the D string, that doesn't tend to happen with these. Even when swapping out strings on my gigging guitar, the strings are still in good enough condition to put on a secondary guitar. The coating means less strings noise, easier to play and remain cleaner for longer.
