What I got was raw edged wood, discolored and rough. I wouldn't want to put this is my shoes because I would be fearful of splinters from the pieces left after the shoe tree was removed. My impression of the company after receiving this product is "I don't really give a darn about the customer, I just want to rush making these so I can sell more." It is also leaving sharp, sometimes large, wood chips in the shoes.
