That would be eight canisters, right?? how much weight (sand) does each canister hold??** A: yeah they are connected. i split a bag pf sand in 1 pair. but as i said in other posts the summer sun and weather deteriorated the fabric and when i picked one up it split in half **Q: Do these work on pool ladders? Can they be submerged for the entire summer, hold the ladder in place, and not tear?** A: i'm not sure about that usage, but what i can tell you is that though a great concept. but i wouldn't waste the money. I put sand in for the weight, they leaked and then they tore around Zippers and at base seams. The sun after one summer season just put a toll on the fabric and the plastic zippers. I'm still using mine, but i have had to employ some "red neck" technology to keep from throwing them away. your usage may work since they would be submerged. i would think salt or chlorine pool could degrade the fabric, but i'm no chemist **Q: Do they work on swimming pool steps?** A: Don’t know about steps. We had them on a deck canopy all last summer thru wind and rain. Had no problems so we have put up the canopy again this summer. I put gravel in the sacks. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Best for the beach *by B***R on Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2018* I did a significant amount of research and discovered that there doesn't seem to be a great product in this category, so I knew what I was getting into. The best application for this product is for the beach. The smallish, non-heavy duty bags are very portable and would fill with sand quickly and easily. Also, with sand and a single pole, the product should wrap effectively.The rather cheap stakes should work fine as well.For a semi-permanent gazebo-type structure with corners that will be dealing with some wind, this product doesn't work very well. The two-barreled cylinders do not handle corners well. If they had made the velcro strap longer so it would attach an inch or so more this would not be a problem, but for some reason they made the strap quite short, given the girth of the product when filled. The product will only take 2/3 of a 40lbs bag of pea gravel, so that was disappointing. Since I already filled the ones I have, I am considering getting another set to effectively ground my structure.Overall, not a bad product but certainly not "universal" in its application. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great quality for the price *by P***O on Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2018* These were incredibly easy to fill with sand to use with our pop up tent, the quality of the bags are great. It wasn't bulky at all once it was wrapped around the legs of the tent. I used sand in mine. Had a few strong stroms come through and it was swaying a bit but never went over. Just remember to take out the metal stakes in one of the bags before you put sand in it! Mine is on a concrete patio so I didn't use the stakes and didn't see them and it popped out the side of the bag.
