There is a detailed street map of every borough with the exception of Staten Island. Subway stops are shown on the street map so you can always find your station while on the move. The map has a very detailed index of streets and sights, etc. but you need either great eyesight or one of those flat plastic magnifiers to see the very small print. The map is somewhat unwieldy to use on the street since the map is so large when fully opened (about 27" x 39"). The smaller laminated map by the same company of just Manhattan is much easier to use, but if you want a street map for the rest of NYC (minus Staten Island) then this is it! The paper is sturdy and folds nicely into a size of 4 1/4 x 9 1/2 but beware when fully opened it is large. ### ⭐⭐⭐ but I'm bit disappointed by the print and paper quality *by D***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2015* The map covers all five boroughs, but I'm bit disappointed by the print and paper quality. Other reviewers mention how small the font is (particularly in the street index). But even if you have good eyes, the small print is blurry! For instance, some sections of the street index, it's impossible to differentiate I from J. The paper feels only slightly better than printer paper in your office or home.Also, the layout of the map is cumbersome. It's double sided (one side has 4 main boroughs, the other side has street index, staten island, subway map, regional map etc.). It would make sense to have the other side inverted, so that if you want to look up a street or check the subway map you would only need to fold half the map up or down. The way it is now, you have to turn over the entire (rather large) map to look at anything on the back. Unless, of course, you want to ruin the horizontal folds.I'm going to buy the Rand McNally map and see if it's better. It's only marginally larger than this one, and they usually make good quality maps. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very detailed map, very nice quality *by J***Z on Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2014* Loved it, it is very detailed, and even though the print IS small, it is readable. It is a folded-paper map and is pretty large when fully opened, so maybe not ideal to use it while walking around. It has the important locations identified, all the streets in the boroughs and details of the subway stops. It is not laminated but the quality of the paper is nice. I bought it to have a map with the whole view of the boroughs so I actually have it in the wall like a poster to be able to explore it, plan my walks around the city (I recently moved to NY and it has helped me getting to know the city), mark things, quickly look for directions and overall have a physical and whole-detailed view of the city, but the map has information on both sides so it is probably not ideal to use as a poster, I just find it more practical to use it this way for my purposes.
