I have a particularly unique job manning a wall up North. It gets extremely cold and it's only getting colder as winter is coming. I thought this Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket might help me stay warm during my recent patrols North of the wall. I brought all 5 with me on my last trek, which was invaluable as Craster's keep provided little to no shelter against the harsh winter winds. I used one and let my boss John and new friend Gilly use a couple more. Once morning came I set off on my own. As I walked out of nowhere a blizzard rolled in, so I took shelter behind a rock. There I watched as armed white walkers approached from out of the snow. All of sudden a white walker mounted on a dead horse gazed in my direction, but I immediately took refuge under my Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket. Luckily, the size of the Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket wholly covered me, although it couldn't drown out the the screeches of the army of the dead. I was able to get away safely, but not before long I came face to face with a bone chilling white walker. I tried to halt its advance, but the walker shattered my sword with his frozen hand and knocked me aside. With nothing left to protect me from the undead I cast my last of the five Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blankets over the walker's frosted body. As an avid snowboarder, I know mylar blankets are extremely useful to have in a first aid kit, so I already feel prepared for next winter. I had to show these to my dad, an Air Force vet, and he was likewise impressed, said they were just as strong as any he used in the service. The blankets sold in a 5-pack are a great bang for your buck. The way that I like to use mylar blankets is to spread one on the floor or ground, sit on it with my legs crossed or scrunched up close to my chest, and wrap a second one around my shoulders and/or head. I've found this the best way to truly stay warm if stuck outside.I recently went camping and used one on top of my sleeping bag for a little extra warmth, and it was just what I needed. Even though it's summer, the nights in the northeast are chilly. If I had wanted a lot of extra warmth, I would have wrapped it inside the sleeping bag.
