Cotted type that is easy to use in a variety of occasions. Easy to carry. Lightweight and compact type. Fluorine Coat + Fully Washable Main Unit: Easy to clean and keep it clean. High heat retention and cold retention. Easy to add ice cubes. Wide mouth approx. 2.0 inches (5 cm).

Review: Great for everyday use - Zojirushi is a famous brand in Japan. This bottle is of good quality, a nice color, light weight, and does the job. I thought its lacking a handle could be an issue, but it is light and compact enough not to really need one. Boiled water stays reasonably hot for 6 hours. The mouth is big enough to fit ice cubes. The lid is easy to open and close with one touch and stays sealed properly. One slight disappointment is that the lid/cup is a little small and that it is made of a material and shape (a wide surface of liquid is exposed to air) that loses heat very quickly. You go through the trouble to have a warm (or cold) beverage handy, only to have it quickly go to room temperature after pouring it into the lid/cup. Still, I am happy with the purchase and hope to have many years of use ... just have to drink fast.

I have never used it for hot because I have a different Zojirushi I use for hot beverages which is what prompted me to purchase this one. The one I use for hot does it’s job so well, I wanted a larger one for cold beverages. The only downside to this bottle is the drinking cup is too small and I don’t like the design of the drinking spout so I find that I remove the lid and drink directly from the bottle. This is a minor inconvenience for me and was not worth deducting a star after all the bottle does what it’s supposed to do that’s what I wanted. Another good feature is I fill it 1/3 with ice and can add 2, 12 oz cans of sparkling water.

**Q: What type of pour spout?  Is it just a wide opening or does it have a push button valve?**
A: The thermos body itself has a wide opening. 
There is a thermos cap with a seal that screws into the wide opening of the thermos body.
This thermos cap has a button that opens a hole within the sealed cap that allows liquids to pour through the cap and this opening is able to be closed again resealing the cap to prevent any liquid from spilling out.
The blue top you see in the picture is a lid/cup.
