There was no smell, whatsoever. All of my good herbal teas have a strong smell. The smell of pine should have been there! I brewed a cup and after steeping for half an hour the water was still clear and it tasted like the tea bag. No pine flavor, no tea flavor... It tasted like water that had a piece of paper soaking in it.Good grief! I have a year old Christmas wreath that still has a pine scent.I bought this for a source of Vitamin C. The old dried up pine needle powder was worthless. To top it off this item can't be returned.
