It is easy to clean and very sturdy and I loved it until I discovered that the little bump in the front was worse than completely useless for little boys. My son is 20 months old and started toilet training at 18 months. He has no concept of aiming or sitting a certain way so that urine does not end up everywhere, so it would get on his legs, me, the floor, and our clothes,. I started putting dog pee pads under the potty and making sure there was nothing within three feet of it. That worked OK, but they are not cheap since I had to get the XL size for them to be effective. So I searched "for boys potty" and decided to buy this race car potty despite the complaints about it being low to the ground. My son is both younger than most boys when they start training and small for his age so it is perfect for him. He loves cars and sits on it willingly. At $27.99 it cost less than one bag of 50 XL pee pads. I have only had it for a week, but I just make sure he sits square and the guard does the rest. You do have to completely remove the seat to get the container out to empty it, I wish it had a lid that popped up like my first one.
