It's just grippy enough not to drop, but not so grippy you can't get it out of your pocket. The color is an appealing dark grey that matches the phone perfectly. It lacks any adornment, which is exactly what I wanted. No superfluous ribbing or stippling that does nothing. It's also thin enough to keep the phone looking and feeling svelte in my hand.-- Con: The buttons are very stiff. You have to press dead-center and directly down. A slight offset or angle won't actuate the button underneath. It's also hard to tell when your finger is on a button, or which button it's on without looking.-- Pro: If you use a magnetic phone holder, the thin metal plates will fit between the outer shell and the soft shock absorber for an invisible and secure mounting option. I drive like a maniac heel-toeing on curvy roads and it holds solid with the typical magnetic air vent mounts found here on Amazon.-- Con: The protective glass it comes with is nearly worthless. It's too narrow for the screen (about 1/16" gap from the edge on either side) and noticeably thicker than previous protective glass I've used.-- Pro: The lip at the edge will protect the screen on any flat surface, so protective glass isn't really necessary.-- Pro: The charging port is large enough to fit most USB micro cables. Some of my previous phones had cases that prevented the use of cables with bulky connectors.Overall I'm happy with it.
