I have an old house with big double hung windows. I have used a variety of window films to provide additional privacy plus block my dog's view of the outside since she is critter crazy and I was living in fear that one day she would break a window in her enthusiasm. Films do the trick...one she figured out she couldn't see out she quit trying to even look. With the film on the bottom part of the windows I can have the curtains more open, enjoy the light with some privacy, and not worry about 80 lb dog vs 100 year old glass.I chose this pattern for my front window which is a bit unique. The top third is a florantine glass and the bottom two thirds is a huge pane. I did not want to block the whole lower part because then I couldn't see out, but I did want to solve the dog issue. The size and pattern of this film fit the bill... I ran it horizontally rather than vertically, which gave me 18" height (basically 1/3 of the bottom section) and enough length to go across the whole window without having to patch. The pattern is just as pretty running "sideways." I liked it so much that I bought 2 more rolls so I can do the other 2 windows in the room.Design-wise, I love the subtlety of this pattern for the room I'm using it for. I found it easy to install...granted I've had some practice by now. I've used different brands of film and this one compares favorably. I haven't noticed any issues with adherence since installing.In short, quite happy with the product and the results.
