They were well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. They took minutes to install. Some of our thermostats were installed in some very strange places so I was concerned that any cover that I purchased would not work with some that were close to corners or installed sideways, etc. These covers are designed so they fit over every thermostat with no problem regardless of the strange location of the thermostat itself. I love having the three digit code instead of a key. HIghly recommend.

**Q: Can you use Command strips to hang?**
A: I would not recommend this product. The cover easily falls off whenever you open it to reset the temp, and is easy to pull off by someone who doesn’t have the combination for the lock. We wish we had not bought it and hung it with anything, whether screws or command strips!

**Q: Does it install over the thermostat or do you install this first?**
A: You install over the thermostat

**Q: Can you stick something inside and reach control or is it tamper proof?**
A: It isn’t tamper proof.  If you cover a thermostat it must “breath” so there are vents. It’s possible for someone to tamper if they have the right tools.  We like to say, “the StatGuardPlus is like a fence… it makes a good neighbor.”  I hope this helps. Feel free to ask more questions.

We bought this because an issue had developed with the thermostat being changed and no one ever knew who did it. The installation was easy and the lock mechanism works fine. The only issue is that the case does not fit well on the track. It is not difficult at all to pop it off. We have found it on the floor a few times. While it seems to be headed in the direction we wanted to go....the security is just not quite what we had expected.
