I ordered these for a baby shower, as soon as I opened them I trimmed the stems put them in room temperature water as directed. One suggestion was to mist the top of the flowers so that is what I did and then I put them down in my cool basement overnight. When I set them up in the room for the baby shower by the end some were starting to look a little wilted (it was very warm in there) but they served their purpose. The next day, one of them was toast. I did the arrangements with roses and was hopeful the hydrangeas would hold up..........not! By the time the party started several of them were droopy and needed to be replaced - but no time with guests arriving. All in all, if you use them the day they arrive or at the latest the next day by early afternoon you should be ok. I cut the stems off as instructed when they arrived and again when I put them in the arrangement.
