Temps can exceed 400f.** A: No. This cannot be used in high temp applications. Max temp is 550f. An exhaust flue could easily triple that temp. **Q: Can u use this as plumbers tape?** A: Yes, it is "Teflon" tape (polytetrafluoroethylene) it is just oxygen safe. It has no oils which can be found in standard Teflon tape.
