And, it's the perfect size. I was able to fit my Sony A5000 mirrorless camera plus 3 lenses, 2 batteries, and a wall charger all inside the pick 'n pluck area. Also, I was able to fit my full-size S&W .45 plus a magazine in the same area (but not together with the camera).The case's robustness exceeded my expectations. The foam is dense and seems like it would stand up to some hard hits. The top/flat part of the case suffers only slight deflection when pressing down hard at the center (this is not a bad thing as you would want some flexibility to avoid being brittle).The latches are hefty and hold on tightly (though they are not two-step, i.e., they only click once). Once the case is latched, it can be locked further using two knobs (as seen in the picture). Once secured, there is no gap or play whatsoever. There is one padlock provision in the middle, rather than two on the sides. The handle is sturdy yet comfortable.I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a rugged case that can stand up to harsh conditions, or a case that is safe to fly with. Or if you just don't want to shell out $50+ for a Pelican. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome to use as a mic case- durable and simple! *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2018* I recently purchased a Shure SM7B microphone along with a Cloudlifter to use for some of my traveling musician work. I was bummed when I learned the SM7B doesn't come with a case of any kind so I turned to the web and some forums recommended Pelican cases. I wasn't trying to spend $60-80 on a case so I kept searching and came across this little guy. Let me just say it's GREAT. Foam feels durable and was extremely easy to remove and add back in places should you decide to change the configuration (I saved the pieces in a plastic bag.) Perfect size for my mic and the Cloudlifter. Couldn't be happier with this purchase, especially for the price. There's hardly any difference in quality between this and Pelican, SKB, and other cases that cost 3-4x as much. The locks feel durable and the case is lightweight and will be very easy to transport, it could even fit in a large backpack! I have zero complaints about this case, for my uses I can tell it's going to be perfect. I would have no problem recommending Seahorse to anyone looking for a durable and inexpensive case for any pro audio equipment! Definitely thinking about picking up a few more in the future. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Better than expected *by T***A on Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2018* Heard about Seahorse Cases from online forums for photography and how they're just as good as Pelican Cases. Pelican is known for quality and they're pricey as well. Found Seahorse on Amazon, thought I would give them a try to see if they're as good as other's recommendations.Initially I was looking for a case to store a NOCO GB40 battery charger. Looking through the various options, most are nylon or semi hard cases which vary from $11-20. Mixed reviews on some of those cases with handles that fail within a few months.Then I found the Seahore cases here, they're hard outside material, have sturdy handles and come with foam inserts. The cost is a few dollars more than a soft case.While this case comes with the pluckable foam to customize the fit, I use only the bottom layer and the top (not removable). This fits the GB40 unit and the battery cables and nice snug fit, does not move around as the lid foam keeps it secure. The case has a 1/4 turn knob which locks the latch from opening accidentally. Now I can keep this in the trunk and not have to worry about anything which may crush the charger if I had it stored a a soft/semi hard case.
