I am very happy with this item: arrived super quickly and tastes wonderful! I have never been fond of prosciutto - it tastes too bland to me. This Speck however, is smokey, flavorful and tender. Beautiful piece with a thin layer of fat on the outside - just enough to enhance the flavor in a right way. Some parts are a little bit more chewy than others but I enjoy this type of texture. Great deal with free shipping too - will be ordering again!

My Son-n-law is from Italia ans moved to Texas last year. I have been searching for Italian speck for a while. Finally, on amazon discovered speck from my son-n-laws area. I really liked the flavor that this gave.I didn't like the chewiness of it even after cooking it for 2 to 3 hours. I thought it would cook like a regular ham after so much time.My opinion is I would recommend this product for flavoring ,but not for eating
