Each piece is natural and lightly sanded and ready for your installation and maybe a little cutting, but easy installation. These wood pieces are designed for the DIY person or carpenter to install. They are cut from reclaimed wide pine boards that we salvaged from a number of old barns. These are not pallet wood (which we would never). They have been split in half and jointed straight for easy installation. They are 2” wide by just 3/8” thick. They come precision cut in random lengths from 6” to 4 feet long. This offering is for our standard color range as shown in the picture. Each piece has been very lightly sanded, just enough to remove the loose and sharp splinters. If you choose the waxed and sealed version, they will have a coat of sealer on the boards and a little smoother to the touch. Installation Tips: We usually use liquid nails adhesive in a tube and apply a wave pattern of glue on the back of each piece. A 1/4” bead is a good amount and then place against wall, firmly pushing and a little twist to level out the bead. Every other row, we will nail through the edge into the wood studs for added support with a finish nail. For an easier job you can use the new Fast grab PL premium. So that could be a space that is 4 feet wide by 5 feet high. We were a little iffy on buying the wood from amazon but it couldn’t have turned out better.
