The bags have a light dusting of all natural anti-caking powder to keep the bags from sticking together. The hose method used with these bags is definitely superior to the bags that require you to poke a hole in them as water can get in that hole, but it cannot enter the hose as you keep the end above the water line when sealing these bags.
