This is a fantastic book. I grill pizzas on the Big Green Egg, and this is the best book I have found on pizzas. I prefer thin crust, and the thin crust dough recipe here is easy and quick. I also like the fact you grill one side of the crust first, and then the grilled side becomes the pizza top and you add toppings. This first grilling firms up the crust and makes it easy to work with when you add toppings and then return it to cook second time on the pizza stone in the grill. Their homemade tomato sauce is very fresh and good, and most recipes start with same crust, same recipe for seasoned oil for brushing grilled pizza top, same tomato sauce, and then they go to great varieties and combinations of toppings. The various pizzas have some very original combinations--you want to try them all. Also, great photos in the book of nearly all of the finished pizzas. I will be trying some of the piadinas in near future--they use a slightly different dough recipe

We SO so miss CK’s pizza and their owners. Now I can “attempt” to recreate some of those delicious wood fired pizzas at home. Miss this place and the homemade root beer.
