But if you take the lid off and smell directly in the bottle it has a pleasant citrus type smell. Would it be safer to start with this on a black pad?** A: I'd use a Griot's red waxing pad. This wax is not very abrasive, and a little goes a long way. I would do a light coat, section by section and remove. Allow for 24 hours cure time, then do a second light coat. It's a great wax.
