    Plastic Lid Breaks Down

The Lid in the image is not the Lid that came with it. I have been using it since purchased with the and Yesterday noticed some black specks forming on the rim of the Lid. I wiped it off not really thinking of it. Then I noticed a weird sand-like feeling between my teeth. I checked and realized the plastic of the Lid was breaking down into a sort of black plastic dust. I was drinking the lid basically. I feel really uncomfortable and have since stopped using the lid. I hope I didn't drink too much of it. Be warned if you are going to use this for hot products the lid will likely not last more than a month of daily use. I can't even return it anymore as it lasted till just past the return date. I have attached a image of the dust, I had previously cleaned off the plastic dust so what is shown is only a fraction of how bad it really was.

I received the mug today and I did not receive the one in the photo. I received a travel coffee mug with the plastic lid that has a sliding cover to open and close the opening for drinking. The reason for the 4 stars is the product I received is still decent, but I just wish the photo represented what I was receiving!
