Three gals and a guy from New York, The Exciters were one of the most fabulously soulful acts to emerge from the 1960s girl group explosion, thanks in part to Brenda Reid, their lulu of a lead vocalist. This is a "must-have" collection for any Exciters, girl group, or Northern Soul fan.  Brenda Reid's soulful voice teamed with the strong harmony of her backup singers proved that there was still life in the group after their pop hit "Tell Him".Although I throughly enjoy every track in this collection,  my all time favorite songs are "Always" and the provacative, (for its time), "Movin too Slow."Enjoy!

Anything by The Exciters is exciting.  Don't hesitate, just buy it!  Brenda's voice is phenomenal!

    A few hits and lots of misses!

I recently purchased this cd and having been a big fan of The Exciters, I was very disappointed to find just a few tracks of significance, those being "A Little Bit of Soap" and "You Know It Ain't Right" - the more interesting! Nothing like their early material to make the heart and soul pound. Sorry, this contribution doesn't inspire me at all!
