**Q: Is this this the  correct sodder to use when working on circuit boards**
A: I use it for wiring small switches on my model railway. It's fairly thin so doesn't take many seconds to melt. I would think it's OK for soldering components on a circuit board.

**Q: do you still need to use flux with this?**
A: Hello dear friend, this does not need a flux, direct use of fire can be.

**Q: can i use this to repair a sterling silver ring?**
A: I think the binding force on soldering is too weak for ring. This is usually for electronic components assembly.
