They came out of the box, I opened them up and they rose up immediately. I didn’t have to wait a couple days to use them. The memory foam is adjustable, so you can customize each pillow for your own comfort size. I slept on them the first night! I would recommend these pillows to anyone looking for a memory foam pillow. I’m very happy with my purchase. They come with two zipper covers for easy comfort adjustment, and have a soft quilted outside. You really could use without a pillow case, if you prefer.
