Hooked it up to a DisplayPort on the back of my GTX 1070TI GPU and connected the other end to my HDMI only monitor. Wonderful. However, I ended up changing monitors to one with a DisplayPort as well but continued to use the HDMI port. That's okay, wasn't a problem... until I noticed the monitor wouldn't go to sleep. Pressing the power button isn't a big deal for most, but I have this as one of my cables in a triple monitor setup and the arm the monitor is on is a gas strut that moves when I press the button.Bottom line: I'm replacing it with a cable that allows the monitor to go to sleep naturally... aka DisplayPort to DisplayPort.
