It comes with plenty of the two part epoxy, probably enough for 100 type repairs. Chose the black color because there we lots of black splotches in the stone. The instructions were simple to understand. Cleaned the crack well and made sure it was dry. Taped the area. Mixed up the epoxy and spread it across the chip. 3 hours later took the tape off and sanded it with the supplied 800 grit and 1000 grit sand paper. Wiped off the dust from sanding and you can see the results in the pictures. I put the pen in the second picture so you could see the repair. My wife inspected it and couldn't find the repair. I know you’re supposed to use an epoxy and color match but would this also work?** A: It’s worked out very well for us. We taped the edges of the seam with painters tape to act as a guide for the resin, and make the cleanup a little easier/tidier. We also filled the gap with a thin strip of cardboard (from a tablet back) to act as a dam (1/8” below the top of the countertop edge), so the resin couldn’t ooze into the drawer below. The resin is pretty viscous. We added duct tape to the bottom of the seam to hold the cardboard. We used a Dremel tool to smooth the gap after the resin cured. It seems like a very long and convoluted process, but it’s worked well for us. The seam is in a very high use area - main food prep space, next to the sink. We did the repair in June, and it’s still working well. We’d do it again. **Q: Will this work for a shower pan?** A: Is your shower pan granite, marble or quartz? I haven't tried something like this before so it was a little tricky. You mix the solvents and then use that to make a paste that you apply to the surface. I was lucky that it was white so I didn't have to add in any coloring. Then after it dries, you sand it down so that it's even with the rest of the surface. The first time around, I added way to much paste so it dried as a clump and I was spending a long time to sand it down. I removed it and made another paste and applied it. I made sure to put up tape for the edges this time so that I would stay in the area that it was only needed. Then it dried and I was able to sand it down to the appropriate size. It had a small bubble in it which is how it dried but other than that, it's imperceptible.
