**Q: Will these work in a standard 22 pistol for noise to scare geese away**
A: Yes, they will work but I will say they are not even remotely as loud as a firecracker. But they will work in any .22 caliber. Be warned they leave a lot of powder behind because they are blanks, so clean your firing device often.
