Yes the product is made out of plastic and seems “cheap” because it’s not a professional hair styling tool, it’s a kids toy. Is it difficult to use? Well you have to read the instructions thoroughly and if your child can’t figure it out, it’s okay, maybe a few months they will. Does the hair undo itself? Yes, if you don’t semi braid the ends JUST LIKE THE INSTURCTIONS says. I gave this to a 7 year old and she knows how to do it perfectly after an adult explains to her and shows her. I had this when I was a kid and it’s as easy as I remember. Plus I always get presents ey before events to make sure everything has its pieces. If something is missing is the only bad review I can see that’s legitimate but even then, it’s a manufactured defect and you should return it.
