As cardstock it's obviously not "parchment" paper but it does have the look and surface feel of parchment paper. It serves its purpose perfectly - it cuts cleanly with scissors and paper cutter, it's the perfect weight so it doesn't fold or buckle with the pressure of the earrings inside the bags, and it cuts nicely with the corner punch and tiny double hole punch I have for this purpose. The color is a very attractive natural-looking light brown that makes a perfect backdrop for all my gold colored earrings. I didn't try to print on it or fold it so I can't speak to those characteristics but it's precisely what I wanted for its intended purpose.
