Batteries are full charge, so it's the mechanical parts not working correctly. I have to correct my previous review! I read up on quartz clocks, and they have to be mounted flat on the wall. My mounting is not flat so I added felt chair leg pads to the back until the clock was straight up and down. It now works perfectly.

I wanted a clock for my kitchen. This one was the right size and after having it for a couple of months I really like it. It looks high-quality and the antique look works well with my khaki walls. It’s easy to read, is silent, it has a second hand and keeps very accurate time. It’s easy to quickly mount to the wall. Very satisfied.
